The individual records hold the category numbers, not the category names you have chosen.
If one of the categories was "Enemies" and you changed it to "Friends", all your enemies would be categorized as friends.
Select the categories you wish to include.
But include only if also in these categories.
Omit all records with these categories set.
There are no records in the selected categories.

As you "Marked" records, you can use the 2nd, 3rd & 4th mark functions to refine the list of records marked.
Press "U" to un-mark an individual record.
Set or Remove categories in all marked records.
Once categories are selected and you "Display Selected Categories", you will see and work with only the records in those categories.
